Offered here is a spirit filled (red) glass lab thermometer with a nickel plated brass armor case.
This thermometer uses organic solvents and mineral spirits to provide accurate and reliable temperature indications. It is a partial immersion thermometer and is designed to be immersed up to the inscribed immersion line.
The numbering is red on a white background.
The armor case is nickel plated brass and it offers protection from shock and rough handling during use of the glass thermometer.
The front is slotted for ease of reading and it features a threaded screw cap with a ring for suspension applications. The bulb end has multiple perforations to allow use of the thermometer while still encased in the armor
