The Audi A5 is a compact executive coupe whose design was mostly based off of the Nuvolari quattro concept car introduced at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. The A5 is Audis third coupe produced, following behind the second generation TT and R8, and is also available as a cabriolet or sportback. However, sportback models did not enter the US market until 2017, making them rare in comparison to coupe and cabriolet models. The A5 began production in 2007 and would see facelifts in 2011 and 2013. It wasnt until 2016, though, that a second generation of the vehicle was launched. The most notable upgrade present in the second generation is Audis virtual cockpit instrument panel, which is an edge-to-edge display behind the steering wheel that was inspired by the cockpit of an airplane.
