THE ITEM DESCRIPTION:
The Lone Ranger National Defender’s Secret Portfolio consists of a 6 panel booklet with all 6 panels attached & nothing cur or missing. Looks almost unused. A 1941 General Mills Kix cereal premium. It opens & folds out to be 32.5” wide & it is 8.5” high. Printed on both sides so you have a total of 12 panels. 3 of the panels are comic strips. Other panels have premiums that you could order, games to play, secrets & sign language. There is the story of the Silver Bullets & a coupon to order your own silver bullet. Hakes premium guide refers to it as a manual & gives it a very high valuation in this condition with mailer of over 0. In addition to the manual there is a very attractive Kix cereal poster that measures 8” by 11”. The poster reference "National Defenders" & asks all members to tell their friends about this new Mix cereal. The poster is copyright dated General Mills 1941. The manual & poster were kept tightly rolled up in the original tube mailer for 70 years & you will need to use some heavy weight like a stack of books to get them to stay flat. I used a glass display tray to photograph them flat. Almost new original condition. The thin paper Kix poster has a small tear less than 3/4” long at top center & bottom center. One last note: The manual contains information about how to use your warning siren. According to Hakes premium guide the warning siren is extremely rare & valued at up to 00. It came in a tube mailer & had a carrying cord. When I found the National Defender's manual it was in the tube mailer & there was a red cord in the tube. I didn't know what the cord was for until a few years later when I was reading Hake's guide. I still have the cord(I am very confident it was once attached to a warning siren) & it will be sent to the buyer along with the manual, Kix poster & tube mailer. There was no warning siren in the tube & in fact I've never seen one for sale.
